Another day, another month.

Hello people of the blog world, how's it going?
Life's going reasonably well for me these days, I have reasons to be happy. Uni has started back and it's great to get back into the routine of things and to see my friends again. My first day back was yesterday and I'd forgotten how much fun my Uni friends can be, they keep me going sometimes. I'm pretty lucky that I have friends who make the harder topics in my course a lot more bearable.
In terms of other things going on in my life; it could be worse. Yes, I have family members who are unwell at the moment, and that's a pretty big thing. But you just have to keep going, forget about what negative things could happen in the future and focus on the positive things now. Aside from that though, I've had some fun times. I've been to Glasgow and back which was cool, I got to visit my wonderful sister and experience the crazy lifestyle that's her version of 'student life'. It's a little bit crazier than Belfast, I must admit.
My little sister turned 14 yesterday too, which makes me feel old. My baby sister is growing up and in my head she's still a gap-toothed 6 year old. I'm so proud of her, she's growing up into a very beautiful and smart young woman. You'll not find a prouder big sister in the country, honestly.
I have some new resolutions for this year as of tonight:
Learn to bake nice things other than cupcakes and simple traybakes,
Start painting and using chalks again,
Start reading other genres of books that don't turn my brain into mush,
Use this semester to revise throughout rather than cram,
Try to become a more skilled programmer by taking more of my own time to practice,
Make sure to make more time for old friends I haven't seen much of recently,
Organise more visits to Glasgow to visit Clo,
Expand my knowledge in music,
and... Try to promote QCS.
I think that's enough for now, hopefully I manage to accomplish all of these things before the semester is out :)
Thanks for reading!

p.s. the picture is of Ed Sheeran... I got pretty close to him at his gig on the 23rd :)
