Oh, Snow Patrol, you hit the nail on the head. The title is from the lyrics of Life-ning from Snow Patrol, from their new album Fallen Empires, that song is just so beautiful and so positive. I'm going to see them again in January, I will probably burst when Gary sings this.
But yeah, one of the reasons I like this song so much is because I've realised how lucky and happy I am recently. I'm lucky to have a nice family, to be able to say I love Uni, I love Halls, I love my friends and I'm still making more everyday thanks to Uni, I have a decent job, I have the joy of being able to say that I do not rely on my parents financially at all anymore, I have a decent social life and overall I can't really complain about much. Of course I have things I'm still not happy with, but in the grand scheme of things, aren't you lucky to have what you have? I was thinking about my friend Chris who was killed in a car crash in March 2010, he never had the chance to experience what all of his friends had the chance to experience. He never got to University. Appreciate what you have.
2011 was an amazing year for me for lots of different reasons, but also a hard-hitting year which made me open my eyes. From once-in-a-lifetime holidays, to getting into my chosen University course, to meeting people I hope will stay with me for the rest of my life, to moving out of home, to going to so many amazing concerts.... oh I could go on and on! The hard-hitting moments are ones I won't talk about on my blog because they aren't for the internet to share, but moments like those are the reasons I'm so happy with my life right now, I appreciate what I have. Haha I have no idea why I'm so philosophical today!
So I'm off for Christmas at the minute and so far it has been very relaxing but unfortunately I have exams to study for. I have 4 in January, the last one of which finishes on the 23rd.. and I'm going to see Ed Sheeran on the 22nd... why oh why did they change my last exam to the 23rd!? Anyway, after Ed Sheeran on the 22nd, I have an exam on the 23rd, then Snow Patrol on the 25th and then I'm going to visit Clo in Glasgow on the 27th! Woo! That's gonna be a good week I think, I'm really looking forward to it despite the exams!
As usual, I'm procrastinating from revision. I'm really living up to my Blog Name aren't I?! I can't remember a single set of exams I haven't blogged about saying I was procrastinating, so here's to tradition! :D I'm currently sitting on Twitter (:D), Facebook, Blogger, play.com, Amazon and iTunes. I think it's saf to say, I REALLY don't want to revise and I'm trying my hardest not to!
Well, wish me luck with the revision - as you can see I will need all the luck and willpower I can grab hold of! :)
